Child safety standards

MirrorBox's standards against child sexual abuse and exploitation, and how to report it.

Effective October 3, 2026 · Vexil LLC

MirrorBox has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), including child sexual abuse material (CSAM). These standards apply to everyone who uses MirrorBox, on the app and the website, and to everything they post: messages, replies, chats, profiles, photos and walls.

What is not allowed

  • Any image, video, drawing or text that sexualises a minor, real or fictional.
  • Grooming: building trust with a minor in order to sexually exploit them, or asking a minor for sexual images, messages or meetings.
  • Sextortion: threatening or pressuring anyone, of any age, with sexual images of a minor.
  • Sharing, requesting, selling or linking to CSAM, or explaining how to find it.
  • Trafficking or any other sexual exploitation of a minor.
  • Sexual messages or advances sent to someone you know or think is under 18.

Who can use MirrorBox

You must be at least 13 years old to create a MirrorBox page, and we ask for your age before you can. If we learn that someone under that age has an account, we delete it. Pages of people under 18 are not shown on adult websites that embed MirrorBox walls.

How we prevent it

  • Messages, replies, chats and profiles are checked automatically before they're shown. Content that sexualises minors or looks like grooming is always blocked, whatever the confidence settings for other kinds of content.
  • Photos on walls are uploaded to MirrorBox and may be reviewed before anyone else can see them.
  • Our moderation team reviews flagged content and reports, and can remove content and ban accounts.
  • We keep the information needed to stop banned people from coming back on new accounts.

How to report

  • In the app or on the website: use Report on any message, chat, page or wall. Reports go to our moderation team, and the person you report is not told who reported them.
  • By email: [email protected], with a link to the page or a description of what you saw. Do not send us copies of abusive images.
  • If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local police or emergency number first.

What we do

  • We remove CSAE content as soon as we find it and permanently ban the accounts involved.
  • We report apparent CSAM to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and to other authorities where the law requires it, and keep the related records for as long as the law requires.
  • We cooperate with law enforcement on valid legal requests.
